Released during Sanjay Dutt's imprisonment in 1995 but the film had completed shooting in 1994. As Sanjay Dutt was not released on bail for almost nine months, Sultan Ahmed decided his voice will be dubbed by professional voice actor Chetan Sashital. The same situation happened with Sajid Nadiawala's Andolan released in the same month.
