In Ace Ventura - L'acchiappanimali (1994) Ace pretends to be a lawyer named Tom Ace. The "Tom" part could be an homage to director Tom Shadyac, who also directed this movie, with Jim Carrey playing a lawyer named Fletcher Reede.
