The very first live adaptation on record was in the year 1919. Anne was portrayed by American actress Mary Miles Minter who was 17 at the time and two years older than Amybeth McNulty, who's 15. She portrays Anne as a 13-year-old but at the beginning of the books she was 11. Thereby, there's a two-year difference.
