As it ran from 1981 to 1989, this was the only one of the four major American prime time soap operas of the 1980s to air in its entirety during that decade: Dallas (1978) ran from 1978 to 1991, California (1979) ran from 1979 to 1993 and Falcon Crest (1981) ran from 1981 to 1990.
