The Practice episode First Degree which has Bobby and old flame Andrea (Melina Kanakaredes) both defending clients in the same case; which then turn on each other at the lawyers' request; leading to one client being found guilty and one being found innocent; is very similar to an LA LAW episode where Grace Van Owen and Michael Kuzak go through the same situation; Grace encourages her client to incriminate Michael's to save himself; Grace's client winds up going free and then Michael's client is convicted; placing pressure and stress on the couple.
