Fans of the series didn't have to wait long after cancellation to see two of the castaways at work in a very different context. Russell Johnson and Dawn Wells quickly picked up guest starring roles in ABC's science-fiction drama The Invaders. Johnson appeared as an attorney in Gli invasori: The Trial (1967) and two weeks later Wells played a college student in Gli invasori: Dark Outpost (1967).
