This movie begins a tradition of horrific pregnancy scenes in movies. Alien (1979), The Brood, The Fly, Prometheus, It's Alive, A Quiet Place - Un posto tranquillo (2018), etc., and their graphic scenes of horror-pregnancy were all directly influenced by Rosemary's Baby.
