It can be hinted that Ulquiorra, at the moment of his demise, felt the emotion of love for Orihime. He states he finally understood what a heart is as he is vanishing into dust. Also before vanishing completely he tries to reach out with his hand to Orihime asking, "Do you fear me girl?" to which she sadly replies "No, I don't." as she also tries to reach out to him only to have his hand vaporize before she was able to reach him and eventually vanishing into dust completely, and dying.
