Eight Aston Martin DB5 stunt cars were built specially for this movie, and two real Aston DB5 were used for close-ups. The main difference between stunt cars and hero cars is that the stunt cars can drift and have a shine in the paint that doesn't look common in a old car, and the grill chrome looks too new for a 1964 model.
