When Zozi is reading to himself as Bartok goes to see Baba Yaga, he is reading Shakespeare's famous 'Once more unto the breach' speech from act III of 'Henry V.' Later on, in the tower, Zozi recites from Aeschylus' play Agamemnon ('The sea began to rise in waves of death'), and from Sophocles' Antigone ('The man who is well-minded to the state').
