Natalie Portman would take a leave from MCU after this film for almost a decade. She later agreed to reprise her role as Jane Foster and the new Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) under Taika Waititi's direction. Portman was also seen in Avengers: Endgame (2019), however, it used unused footage from The Dark World. Regardless, she was given credit in that film.
