In The Avengers (2012), Bruce Banner twice makes reference to events in this film. For the first reference, he said that the last time he was in New York, he wrecked Harlem. And the second reference was in an outtake that could be seen in the special features of the Incredible Hulk DVD. This was Banner's statement that he once tried to "eat a bullet" but that the "other guy" caught it and spit it out. As seen in the footage of the event, it took place in the far north.
