In Dragon Ball Z and the original manga it is mentioned that the Namekusejin only drink water to survive but in DBZ it is shown and mentioned that Piccoro eats some food. However when Dragon Ball Z Kai was released those references and where deleted and this movie reaffirms that Namekusejins only drink water.
