Producer Walter Wood once said of this movie: "The racing world makes you feel like you're 12 years old again in a very nice kind of a way. 'Stroker Ace' tries to capture that spirit. My involvement with NASCAR put the bounce back in my step. I think that the movie, if we are successful, will do the same for audiences."
