Kamal Amrohi and Manoj Kumar would always clash over Hema Malini's dates . One day Hema arrived on the sets and demanded she leave early so she could go shoot for Razia Sultan. Hema would give Razia Sultan preferred treatment due to Hema believing that in Razia Sultan she had a role of a life time. Not to add she could spend more time with Dharmendra. When Manoj Kumar realized what was going on , he kept Hema waiting on the sets while she shot with Shatrughan Sinha. Later Hema complained to Kamal Amrohi that Manoj refused to release her. When Kamal Amrohi called Manoj Kumar,he demanded a answer. Manoj told Kamal that h3 officially had Hema Malini's dates and she was to shoot for him and no one else.
