The tense and robotic score in the film does not start until The Cross Hands, which is the pub when Gary and the gang realize that the town had been taken over. It begins when Peter sees his childhood bully, Shane Hawkins, who is later revealed to be a blank. This part of the score was short, and the longer ones begin when Gary gets into the fight with the blank in the bathroom. Until that point, the only soundtrack featured in the film were pre-made songs.
