After entering the church Santa Maria Del Pi, Nathan Drake says, "Nuns. Why is it always nuns?". This is very similar to the Indiana Jones quote, "Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?" from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), another action movie about hunting ancient relics and treasures.
