When Miguel says that Ernesto is the best musician ever, Hector disagrees. At first, it seems Hector is just being jealous. However later in the film, it is revealed that Ernesto stole Hector's songs and guitar and passed them off as his own. This means that earlier in the film, Hector was subtly calling his former partner a fraud.
