The actress who played Anil Kapoor''s sister Suparna Anand, later changed her name to Himani for the film Dil Ne Ikraar Kiya. She was a N. Chandra's protegee/ discovery.She was promised a parallel role to Madhuri Dixit opposite Chunky Pandey. Himani alleges that N Chandra then got carried away with Madhuri Dixit, then slashed her role. She gave a interview in Stardust magazine December 1988 stating N Chandra had played dirty with her. All her scenes were slashed. Suparna was later relaunched by her mother Kushal Anand in Dil Ne Ikraar Kiya. That film ended up being completed and unreleased.
