At the end of Mattimeo, it is revealed that Mattimeo and Tess Churchmouse get married and have a son. However, the finale of Redwall revealed that John Churchmouse (Tess' father) is Mattimeo's grandfather, making Tess and Mattimeo aunt and nephew. This relationship does not exist in the novels, though.
