A production coordinator and the director both work together on the staging of the show using a staging sheet with a layout of the entire stage, kind of a blueprint from above. With prizes and set pieces as a guide they need to make sure there are no collisions, contradictions, or bottlenecks in the movement and placement of things. Copies of the staging sheets are distributed to all stagehands too so that everyone can get an overview of the show. It all fits together like a big complicated puzzle, but sets the gears of a smooth production that moves quickly like a well-oiled machine.
