In Spain, the marketing campaign paid tribute to the legendary 1938 Orson Welles' War of the Worlds radio broadcast. As in it, they were broadcast the news of huge spaceships showing up in New York and other American cities on TV during the news bulletins as if they were real. There was a small disclaimer on one corner saying "advertisement", but many people believed it anyway taken it as for real and called the authorities, replicating the same events that happened in 1938.
