As a means of preparing her for the role of Eloise, director Edgar Wright suggested that Thomasin McKenzie watch his list of 50 films containing some of his personal favorites. Thomasin claims to have watched all but one, the Dario Argento directed Suspiria (1977), which has been a major inspiration in Wright's cinematic career.
