Snakes were a real hazard whilst filming in the Moroccan desert. Producer Stephen Smallwood said that they hired a snake wrangler to keep the set clear of the creatures although on one occasion a snake crept undetected onto the set and was found sleeping under a chair resulting in mild panic whilst trying to locate the wrangler to deal with it.
