Robert Vaughn, who plays Superman's nemesis, Ross Webster, in this film, became a television superstar in the 1960s with his portrayal of suave secret agent Napoleon Solo in the classic series Organizzazione U.N.C.L.E. (1964). In the film version of the series, Operazione U.N.C.L.E. (2015), Napoleon Solo is played by Henry Cavill, who gained fame playing Superman in L'uomo d'acciaio (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Justice League (2017).
