John Goodman, Jim Belushi, Jeffrey Tambor, Gregory Peck, and Patrick Stewart were all considered for the role of Zeus. All of them but Gregory Peck would later however star in Future Disney Animated Films: - John Goodman would voice Pacha in Le follie dell'imperatore (2000), James P. Sullivan in Monsters & Co. (2001), Baloo in Il libro della giungla 2 (2003), and Big Daddy in La principessa e il ranocchio (2009) which is also directed by John Musker & Ron Clements. - Patrick Stewart was forced to turn down the role due to his commitment to Star Trek The Next Generation but would eventually voice Mr. Woolensworth the Sheep in Chicken Little - Amici per le penne (2005) released 8 years later. - Jeffrey Tambor would voice the Big Nose Thug in Rapunzel: L'intreccio della torre (2010). John Goodman and Tate Donovan (voice of Hercules) would appear together in Argo (2012).
