Lockhart states that he "didn't get rid of the Bandon Banshee by smiling at him". Banshees are Irish spirits which can only be female. The book said "her." As Kenneth Branagh comes from an Irish cultural background, he likely did this deliberately to make Lockhart look even more stupid.
