Bob Barker has had an indelible influence on the content of the show. In the early years, the fur coat was a staple of the game-show prize giveaway. Bob became a staunch animal rights activist over the years, so they eliminated any furs from the show. Anything related to animal cruelty was rightfully gotten rid of and they never show any animal products even in the form of props (i.e. only plastic veggies on a grill or in a fridge since Bob is a strict vegan). They've also stopped giving away aquariums, and certainly wouldn't be touting the benefits of fishing equipment on a show that rallies to the cause of animal rights.
