William Sylvester, playing one of the two Pentagon advisers monitoring the Soviet capsule from the American side, would soon and forever be associated with spaceflight. The following year he played Dr. Heywood Floyd in the iconic sci-fi film, 2001: Odissea nello spazio (1968).
