And the book's Acknowledgments reads, "And finally, big thanks to Kyle Jarrow for the inspiration." In the credits for the movie, Liz W. Garcia and Kyle Jarrow are listed as the writers, with no mention of Tess Wakefield although the movie closely tracks the book.
