The music played just before the plane crash of Hughes (also used earlier in the movie), is the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by J. S. Bach (originally composed for church organ), in a transcription for orchestra by the conductor Leopold Stokowski. It was also used in Walt Disney's "Fantasia."
