Javier Bardem is now the third Bond villain actor to play the character of Stilgar in a Dune adaptation, having appeared in Skyfall (2012); he follows Octopussy - Operazione piovra (1983)'s Steven Berkoff in I figli di Dune (2003) and 007 - Vendetta privata (1989)'s Everett McGill in Dune (1984). Max von Sydow also played Liet-Kynes in Dune (1984) and Bond archenemy, Blofeld, in the unofficial Bond film, Mai dire mai (1983). Likewise, Dave Bautista also played a Bond villain in Spectre (2015) as Hinx.
