Conway is the son of famed television comedian Tim Conway, who was a friend of Paul Thomas Anderson's father dating back to the 1960s when they were both television personalities on WJW in Cleveland, Ohio. The younger Anderson has appeared on Tim Conway Jr.'s radio show many times to reminisce about the time they spent growing up together in the San Fernando Valley of the 1970s.
