In the movie-at-the-park scene, where Steve/Eddie is throwing away the colored M&Ms, he says he only eats the brown ones believing they have "the least artificial coloring because chocolate's already brown." The fact is likely the opposite, since the shell over the M&M is sugar and food coloring, not chocolate. It's likely that the lighter colored M&Ms have the least artificial coloring because it takes less food coloring to make lighter colors, while on the other hand it takes many colors/food coloring to mix a darker "chocolate brown" color. Considering he is a children's Doctor, it seems a strange oversight.
