Vinod Khanna was in the cast of Kranti as he went away, Shashi Kapoor had replaced him in Kranti. Also then Parveen Babi went away in those days. Then her role was cut and some changes was done in the film and the difference was not seen, her double shot her last scene in the film. When Parveen came back she did the dubbing. Laxmikant- Pyarelal, worked out.for 2-3 months for the background music, and had to refuse other offers. After, Kranti, Manoj Kumar made a smaller film Painter Babu with newcomers and new music directors. In the 1980's Manoj Kumar made 4 productions, Painter Babu, Kalyug Aur Ramayana, Clerk & Deshwasi and Manoj Kumar had also written Ricky. Kalyug Aur Ramayan, Clerk & Deshwasi all 3 big major films were made toghether.
