In the final act of the movie, Elisa awakes and finds herself with her hands literally nailed to the wheelchair, and the villagers mock her whimpers; the scene closely resembles the similar moment in the original Non aprite quella porta (1974)], when Sally Hardesty also finds herself tied to a chair, screaming in terror while the family of cannibals mock her.
