In the season one the series reverses the typical roles of popular and outcast of the high school and the consequences of it: in Metropolis Jonathan is quarterback of the football team and a popular teen while Jordan is a boy who suffers bullying because his social anxiety disorder; in Smallville Jordan turns in football player and a popular boy, while Jonathan turns in outcast shadowed by Jordan, specially after Jordan begins to discover his powers.
