The Slaughtered Lamb also has another meaning to it as Jack and David leave after being asked to do so by the pub-goers without explaining their reason is like a lamb to the slaughter; they do it without knowing that something bad is going to happen and therefore act calmly and without fighting against the situation, which ends with them both getting attacked by the werewolf.
