The original title was never Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, that is only an American title. The original has always been Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It was written by the English authoress JK Rowling and first published in the Uk being the country of original as The Philosopher's Stone no matter what is claimed otherwise.
