Fans strongly demanded Tom Welling to reprise his role of Clark Kent/Superman on Supergirl (2015). He stated that Clark could not exist in that universe because of the different essence between both shows. "There's really nothing in common, there are no parallels at all. I say that being a fan of what they're doing. I think they're doing a great job." Tom Welling did reprise the role as an alternate universe Clark Kent in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event.
