In the movie, Nicolas Cage plays two fictionalized versions of himself. But on set, when the real Cage played his current self, Nick Wittman played his young version, Nicky. When Cage played his younger self, András Korcsmáros played Cage's current self. A similar method of photo doubles was used for Il ladro di orchidee (2002), where Cage also interacted with himself on screen.
