This is the final film voyage of the complete original crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Although there would be one more film featuring the original cast, Sulu is no longer a member of the Enterprise crew in the next film, Rotta verso l'ignoto (1991), being Captain of the U.S.S. Excelsior.
