When Maya is dating Chris (Joe Rogan), Maya tells Nina that Chris's opinion of dating Maya is "like being on the Frasier show." Nina says, "I've seen that show. The dog is funny." Wendie Malick, who plays Nina, had a recurring role in the later seasons of the show as Frasier's former baby sitter and new step-mother.
