When Tim Burton parodied "2001" in La fabbrica di cioccolato (2005)," he used the same recording of Richard Strauss's "Also sprach Zarathustra" that Kubrick had: the 1959 Vienna Philharmonic version conducted by Herbert von Karajan and produced by John Culshaw for British Decca. The recording, uncredited in Kubrick's film, is fully credited in Burton's.
