The unaired pilot featured the characters Alicia Donadio (Genesis Rodriguez), Peter Jaxon (B.J. Britt) and Sarah Fisher (Jennifer Ferrin). After the project was reconceived, these characters were removed and replaced by the characters Tim Fanning (Jamie McShane), Nichole Sykes (Caroline Chikezie) and Lila Kyle (Emmanuelle Chriqui). Ferrin was recast as Elizabeth Lear.
