Kovach's death partially parallels that of Libya's Col. Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. The difference is that Kovach was intentionally dropped off among his disaffected people, while Gaddafi was found while attempting to escape through a drainage pipe. Both were ousted by outside forces and ultimately killed by the mobs rebelling against their rule.
