It is the first movie adaptation to include all three scenes where the Spirit of Christmas Present takes Scrooge all over Great Britain to show him various people celebrating Christmas by singing carols including miners in a hut, two male lighthouse keepers, and sailors on a ship at sea. They were in Charles Dickens' original novel, but many other moy adaptations omit all three of these scenes. Thankfully, the 1999 live-action television movie, Canto di Natale (1999), starring Sir Patrick Stewart, did feature the miners, lighthouse keepers, and sailors at sea.
