Director Jordan Peele would go on to collaborate with renowned director Spike Lee on BlacKkKlansman (2018). Both Peele and Lee are two of the only four African American writers nominated for the Best Original Screenplay Oscar. Lee was nominated for Fa' la cosa giusta (1989) and Peele was nominated for this film.
