Gore Verbinski assisted Hans Zimmer on composing the musical score for the film. He and Zimmer collaborated on the "Hoist the Colours" song, and Verbinski played the guitar in the parley scene, when Jack is traded to Beckett and Davy Jones on exchange for Will.
