Lindsey Ferris' death was originally different and more gory than intended. According to production visual effects supervisor Roger Guyett during an interview on the Light the Fuse Podcast, due to ratings issues, the scene was heavily re-edited. J.J. Abrams has stated in the audio commentary that he prefers the original version.
